Are you loving this weather? Seventy degrees the first of December. -No complaints from me.
On Saturday while enjoying the December sun outside with friends and a few great beers, conversation turned towards food and our impending dinner and then, whoa la! Another test kitchen idea was born.
We all began suggesting ingredients to our two main chefs and shortly thereafter the menu was created.

Baby Spinach & Arugula

Pizza
Margherita
Hawaiian
Bacon Double Cheeseburger
and dessert to follow
We started with the classic Italian pizza, Margherita:
Our delicious pie was made with fresh mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, tomatoes, fresh basil and drizzled with olive oil.
Next up was the fun Hawaiian pizza:
This masterpiece was made with an Alfredo white sauce and then layered with pineapple, pancetta and prosciutto.
The last pie of the night was a Double Bacon Cheeseburger pizza:
Layered on top the mustard dill pickle sauce were all the classic cheeseburger flavors of ground beef, bacon, dill pickle slices and four cheeses.
All three, very different pizzas were a hit in their own way. Personally the Hawaiian was my favorite. But then I'm a sucker for ying yang flavors of salty meat, creamy cheese and sweet. The cheeseburger pizza was definitely the most unique. Husband tells me that it was inspired by a pizza he ate in Little Rock, AR about 15 years ago.
Rumor has it that a fourth pizza was created. But since half the diners were gone, and no pictures were taken, this blogger cannot verify the existence of this elusive Buffalo Chicken pizza.
